The COP28 climate summit is winding down. The summit has highlighted the different ideas and paths for combating climate change. One person who is investing in green and alternative energy startups is venture capitalist Michael Sonnenfeldt, Chairman of MUUS Climate Partners.

One of the big challenges for a lot of companies right now is higher interest rates. Sonnenfeldt says it's not an issue for a lot of the companies he's investing in given how early-stage they are, but it does become an issue as the company works to scale up.

When it comes to what he's looking for in the companies he's investing in, Sonnenfeldt says he likes the ones that "have an economic justification already," using the example of a company that creates greener and more cost-efficient home heating systems.
